I first met Sherman through my exchange trip and have kept in touch with him since then. He has a charming and bright personality, and radiates positivity in everything he does. Naturally, although I was approached by a couple of financial advisor friends, I decided on Sherman to help with my long-term financial goals. There are two reasons for this: (1) his character and (2) his passion. Anyone who knows Sherman personally would certainly testify to his strong morals. Moreover, since the first time I have heard about his passion for providing financial guidance to others, it has never wavered. It is evident that he constantly puts in the hard work to hone his craft and is in it for the long run.

My financial journey with Sherman thus far has been stress-free and fulfilling. Sherman is adept in product knowledge and general financial know-how, and exudes confidence when sharing about it with my boyfriend, Kyle, as well as myself. Even when I pose difficult questions to him, he is unfazed, patient, and encouraging when addressing my concerns. I also particularly liked how he draw links between financial planning and our personal goals in life, so we are constantly reminded of why we are doing this at all — to be able to attain and protect the important things in life.

My advice for others who are considering starting on this journey towards financial independence is to do things that your future self will thank you for. It may seem like a hassle now to get started and you may just want to throw this to the back of your head, but it would be a decision that you would reap the benefits of in a few years. Of course, it is also critical to find someone trustworthy and likely to be in the industry for the long term.
